Mineral de Pozos
This silver mining town had a boom in the 18th Century when the Jesuits occupied the town. The next important boom took place when the French mining companies were allowed to work there from 1875 to 1910. Most of the houses and silver mines were built during this time.
Unfortunately, in 1960´s miners started to break spring waters that ended up flooding most of the silver mines. Most people left the area and Pozos became a ghost town. Eventually the town began to grow little by little. Even so, it still feels like stepping back in time.
